Adventures of Trent & Jane

Picked up Sue & Shaun, our Fernie friends and then had great drive down with the Overseas highway yesterday.  Arrived in Key west just in time to catch the sunset! Walked around key west soaking up the history and beautiful architecture.

Have been watching all the Christmas decorations going up around S Florida. Our resort has gone all out, and by the looks of the cars that drove by so do the locals!! Trent and I have gotten in a few rounds of golf as well. Enjoying being out on the course but grass is like quack grass, need to hit hard if the ball is sunk down.

Had a great day touring the Floridas evergaldes. First stop was Shark Alley visitor center where we spotted alligators and butterflies. On the drive we seen egerts, cormons and other beautiful unidentified birds. Stopped at lunch in Evergaleds City where most houses are on stilts, except for the mobile homes, I guess they float. Back to Ft Lauderdale taking aligator alley, but non spotted.

Had a great day on the beach. soaking up the Florida sunshine and enjoying a swim in the Atlantic. Surprisingly it was not to cold!

so another gruelling day in Florida. A sleep in, then a good breakfast. Gotta start right if you want to golf! played a local 9 hole, they were working on the greens and it was tight. You've gotto lose the first sleeve some where! (nah, only 2). Saw the critters in the pictures as we wandered the course. Lots of signs saying watch for gators and snakes, a little excitements just adds to the difficulty of the course. We'll look for some other challeges tommorow!

Woke up to a lovely day in Florida. It was great to see everyone before we left, thanks for coming out and saying Adios. Looking forward to seeing you all when we are back from South America in March. Trent and I are touring aroung Ft Lauderdale area till Nov 29 when we pick up our friends and head to Key West!

Wyatt and Gruncle   1st stop on our adventure.  Arrived in Victoria to partly sunny skies!  Spent the day with family and of course Wyatt. Here till the 16 then back to Calgary for goodbyes.  We are off to Fort Lauderdale Nov 17 before catching the cruise to Panama Dec 2.

 Our first adventure is to Panama and South America. Departure Nov 17 returning mid March.  Stay tuned for our stories.  

 We are all packed up heading on a road trip to drop the trailer.  Then off to Victoria to see Wyatt and family.  

 The adventure will begin soon, but first we need to pack up the house.  Movers on Monday.  We are staying in Okotoks for the week then off to discover old and new horizons.
