26 hrs in Venice

We flew into Bergamo from Dubrovnik and stayed at a hotel off auto Pista on the way to Venice.

We arrived in Venice at around noon to our delight. The bus was one stop from Piazzo Roma, where we got a water boat to our hotel. Our hotel was situated very close to San Marcos Square and  the Rialto Bridge

We wandered around Venice through the alleyways over the bridges and seen the canals.  We joined a walking tour and learned a little more about the history. layout of the town there is 40 street named calla de forno as  every little Island had multiple bakeries.

We met up with Angela and Carson from our cruise and took them back to a little bar that we had discovered earlier in the day to enjoy more spritz and Kaya Baz after we decided to share a gondola and viewed the beautiful palace from the canals

We had supper on a plaza very close to our house and

in the morning we set off and took the water boat to the Lido. We were surprised when we arrived at Toledo to find cars and a regular looking tail. The good news was we also found good shopping. We headed back picked up our bags and was lucky enough to get a front seat on the boat back to Piazza Roma

Stopped and visited my Uncle Rudy’s grave in Ravenna.  Great to see how many locals and families visit.
